Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

  • What type of Doctor are you?

I am a doctor of Chiropractic.  Many people believe that a chiropractor is not a "real" doctor because we don't prescribe medicine.  However, our education and training is similar to that of a medical doctor.  Visit this site for more clarification:

  • Are you licensed for Home Care?

The state of Arizona does not require any type of license to own and operate a home care company.  I do have over 30 years of experience caring for people as a caregiver, Social Worker and a Chiropractor.   See "what qualifies you to do home care?"

  • What qualifies you to own a Home Care Company?

I began home care in my early 20's.   I worked with clients that has MS, ALS, CP, Dememtia, SCI.  In Minnesota, the rules were different than in Arizona.  I was trained by a nurse to do wound care, and was able to help a client heal a 1 inch deep bed sore (that was acquired prior to my being his caregiver).  I did bowel care, feeding tube care, catherter care and a whole lot of procedures that are not allowed to be done here in Arizona by a caregiver.

  • Are you insured?

Yes, I have liability insurance that covers if there were to be something that gets broken by a caregiver.

I also cover my caregivers under Workers Compensation so if they ever get injured, they are covered by that insurance.

  • How much does it cost?

We are more expensive than most companies because of the outstanding care we provide to our clients.   The cost ranges from $35 per hour to $55 per hour depending on the type of care you need/ want.

  • Is there a weekly minimum?

NO, we meet you where you are.  If you only need 2 or three hours once a week, or once a month.  We do our best to accommodate your needs.  There is a minimun of 2 hours for a visit because it is challenging to get a caregiver to want to go anywhere for less than 2 hours.

  • Do you have a non-compete?

Many companies will not allow you and your caregiver to go to a different company, or for you to hire your caregiver directly.  We believe that is coersion.  We also believe tht you will be so satisfied with our care that you won't want to go elsewhere, therefore there is no need to lock you into a non-copete.  I know of one company that there non-compete is 10,000.00 aand 2 years, and another that their non-compete is $5,000.00 and 1 year.

We believe YOU should have the freedom to go to another company whenever you want without being fearful of being fined!!

  • Are your Caregivers Certified?

Some are, and some are not.  I hire someoene for their personality and their reliablity and maturity.  I train them to do any tasks that they are not able to do.  After all, when I became a caregiver, I didn't have any certification.  Someone gave me a chance, and I feel that I have improved many lives over the years.
